K and R- This is the typical Dentrix CIE partner story in most markets.  The CIE program granted a single consultant a “certification” in Dentrix and put their phone number on every product sales rep’s speed dial. Each quickly grew beyond their individual time limits and hired on a fleet of underpaid, inexperienced, overworked junior techs to handle all the support work. Companies like Schein don’t understand what it takes to really support the computers in a business office as an outsourced consultant, and so they created a lackluster support industry. K and R did what most successful independent consultants do- grow without business experience.

Focusing only on margins, they hire the cheapest possible help and the result is easy to predict. They are moving on from dental tech support to general business clients and losing focus (and offices) fast.
